Phonat
Michele Balduzzi (aka Phonat) is rapidly become one of the most talked about producers on the blogs this year. Originally from Florence, Italy, Phonat relocated to the UK on the request of MoFi records way back in 2007. He's currently making music which is in a league of it's own. 'Set Me Free', his latest release, is a brilliant track. First half is cool funky french house, but the second half of the track slips into something more glitchy electro, by all means it shouldn't work... but it does and pretty damn well at that!
Super Mal is simultaneously getting some big recognition. The British duo collabrated for the tune "Pixelated", obviously they should work together more often! His new release "Blood & Sun" has an obscure name, but I actually know the reasoning behind it...Apparently they found themselves in a local convenient store in London and (important part) were a bit baked. Waiting in line, they noticed an elegantly dressed old man demanding something the store owner did not have, and to everyone's surprise was so upset that he pompously slammed his fist on the counter in fury and shouted 'blood and sun!!!' Enjoy!

Fred Falke
This guy has a penchant for taking a good song and just making damn beautiful house music. The Example remix is stuck on repeat at the minute, PERFECT lounging round tune. I've been going through his back catalog and its all the same, not repetitive, just consistently really summery poolside hangover-curing music.

Miami Horror - Make You Mine (Fred Falke Remix)
Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks (Fred Falke Remix)

Leefest
I was at this yesterday, all profits went to charity so I felt all giving and good about myself, even though I'm pretty hungover right now! A1 Bassline was immense as usual. The festival is still young only 3 or 4 years old but is growing really quickly with this year being the first one outside of Lee's back garden and it even had a feature on the news. Anyways in keeping with the giving spirit I thought I would give you an irrelevant post of just some new music I like at the minute.
Jackson 5 - Life of the Party (Bastille's Let's Get Down Remix)
Florence + The Machine - Drumming Song (Boy 8-Bit Remix)
Lifelike - Sunset
Chew Lips - Salt Air (Plastician Remix)
FM Attack - Sleepless Nights

Sticky K
Sticky K has found residency at San Francisco's Goldsweat party, recorded a guest mix for Kissy Sell Out's show on BBC Radio 1, cranked out two of his brilliantly sticky remixes that you won't hear anywhere else (yet), and is currently opening for Jack Beats on his tour. The sky is the limit for this up-and-coming producer, who is currently working on his second EP to be released on Dubsided.
Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (Sticky K Remix)
Sticky K - Alphaville
B. Rich - Make Me Dance (Sticky K Remix)
Sticky K - Bandari Funk

Night Drugs
On offer is the impossibly bangin’ Night Drugs remix of Disco Villains latest release. the French duo have also given Oh Shit! the downtempo electro treatment. This is nice tight production, perfect for a sunset drinking session or an afternoon DJ set as the sun blazes d DJ Barletta remixes following veeery close behind… I think… hard to decide!

Justin Faust
Justin Faust is making some of the smoothest synthy-disco around these days… and he just tickled our inbox with some recent edits. Leeds-based Edwin Van Cleef’s I Want You is a strong original no doubt — so strong that i think Faust’s choice to moisten and lengthen it a bit serves it up as a nice complement — delivering it from the sweaty indoor floor to the outdoor breeze of a boat or rooftop party. Rondo Parisiano by the French baroque electro-stringers SomethingALaMode (out on Yellow Records soon) is re-crafted straight for the clubs; likewise with Swissland-based Division Kent’s Salty (released on If/Then Records).
